Sensor Surveillance Reconnaissance Target Acquisition Small Set has been designed to support combat platoon, especially during dismounted operations. MK SSR TA is a key part of the Modular Combat Battalion (MBK) and supports the situational awareness of combat platoon command, enables interaction with team commanders equipped with the MK SSR TA (D) and fire support control specialists at level of the combat company / Company task force (sDPz, FAC). Using the MK SSR TA, the combat platoon can employ Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) and Unmanned Ground Sensors (UGSs). The MK SSR TA is operated by the SSR TA specialist working along with the platoon commander. MK SSR TA consists of the following components:
